American Tandoor is the newest restaurant to come to Tysons Corner Center, offering vibrant, flavorful dishes that you will want to eat everyday. Owners, Karan Singh and Lite Bite Foods, have a strong connection with both Indian and American cuisines. Karan was raised in both Northern India as well as the United States, he has developed a passion and understanding of both cultures and the crave-able flavors that are abundant in each. Layer that on top of his genuine interest and love of the restaurant and hospitality industry, and the path to the creation of American Tandoor is clear.

Lite Bite Foods is one of the largest and most dynamic food and beverage companies in India. Upon entering American Tandoor the tandoor ovens are the heart and center of the open kitchen, giving the guests a firsthand look at the art behind the traditional cooking methods. There is a warm and welcoming feel, with elements of classic Indian style flecked with modern accents and bold colors such as saffron and teal. The dining room provides both glamor and comfort, perfect for family outings, luncheons, or a night out amongst friends.

The food showcases India’s eclectic culinary heritage with the influences of contemporary American dining. Indian classics such as creamy Butter Chicken are served with the American Tandoor flair. Or try the Samosas, filled with potatoes & onion or warmed spiced chicken.  Can’t decide?  Choose the Samosa Sampler and enjoy both of the delicious flavors.  From warm, building spice to feisty and fiery, the menu offers a variety of dazzling flavors, styles and ingredients. The kitchen toasts and grinds 16 unique spice blends in-house, contributing to the notable tangs within American Tandoor’s menu. These house made spices create colorful dishes like Rogan Josh, our tender braised lamb shanks, or Bengali Mustard Fish Curry, seasonal fish with the perfect amount of curry, mustard seed and spices. If you prefer to graze lightly, relish in the Crispy Kale & Palak, a savory snack of fried spinach, kale, delicious paneer, crisp Asian pear and a tangy tamarind yogurt sauce.

Tandoor cooking is a perfect foil for the aromatics of classic cocktails, bubbly pleasures and house made mocktails. All beverages from cocktails to mocktails are made with the freshest of ingredients, and are all made from scratch. The beverages are enlivening and expertly seasoned with flavors from East India including mango, pomegranate, chai, coconut, and more! Enjoy a Maharaja Punch, a Monsoon Storm or a Mango Swizzle. Or perhaps a beverage that is clean and cool, like the Cucumber Soda, made with crisp cucumber juice, lemon, mint syrup and topped with soda water.
